It has been two days since we set out to the open ocean. We are estimated to arrive at our first research site, Jarvis Island, in three days. In the meantime, a daily routine has kicked in: breakfast at 7am, some reading/writing, lunch at 11am, more reading/writing, briefings and gear checks, dinner at 5pm, movie or workout at 7pm, off to bed…
